Will BJP make Venkaiah Naidu its Presidential candidate? Speculation on meeting of Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Rajnath

Union Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday. The meeting took place ahead of the BJP’s crucial meeting on Presidential elections today.

In such a situation, there has been a lot of speculation that whether M Venkaiah Naidu will be the presidential candidate from the ruling party? It is known that Singh and Nadda have been entrusted by the party to talk to various parties including the opposition on the presidential election.

There is to be brainstorming on the name of the presidential candidate today

The meeting of Shah, Singh and Nadda with Naidu assumes significance as the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting is going to take place today. In this meeting, the name of the NDA’s presidential candidate is to be brainstormed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also attend this meeting.

Both Nadda and Singh are yet to agree on the name of the presidential candidate, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah.

Significantly, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is in a strong position on the basis of numbers in the presidential election and if it gets the support of parties like Biju Janata Dal or Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress, its victory will be ensured.
