The Delhi Tourism Department is starting an exhibition of Bougainvillea flowers for the first time from April 14, which will be organized at the ‘Garden of Five Senses’ located in Saket. Officials informed about this on Sunday. The tourism department said that during this exhibition different species of Bougainvillea flowers will be displayed. The department organizes various fairs and festivals to promote tourism in the national capital.

According to an official statement, the Delhi Tourism Department is organizing an exhibition of Bougainvillea flowers from April 14 to 16 at the ‘Garden of Five Senses’ located in Saket, South Delhi. Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), NDMC, MCD, Delhi University, Netaji Subhash University and Delhi PWD will be the main participants in this exhibition.

According to the department, there are bougainvillea plants and thick vines that are planted in gardens, walls and as shrubs. Its flowers generally bloom in summer, but in better conditions it can flower throughout the year. It said, “There are 20 species and 300 varieties of Bougainvillea, which do not require any special type of soil. It is specially used as Ayurvedic medicines.
