What will happen to Uddhav Thackeray? Eknath Shinde claims – We have 46 MLAs, 37 from Shiv Sena alone

Amidst the crisis on the Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra, rebel minister Eknath Shinde has made a big claim. He said that I have the support of a total of 46 MLAs. If his claim is true, then it is a matter of deep crisis for the Uddhav Thackeray government and its fall will be certain. In a conversation with ‘Aaj Tak’ channel, Shinde said that we have 46 MLAs. We will take forward Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva. On the question of displeasure with Shiv Sena, he said that I had spoken to Uddhav Thackeray regarding the problem of MLAs.

Shiv Sena leaves the government hoping to survive, Uddhav Thackeray may resign

Eknath Shinde said that I have a total of 46 MLAs and more than 37 MLAs are from Shiv Sena alone. He said that if there is talk of anti-defection law, it will not be implemented as we have more than two-thirds of the MLAs. Regarding sitting in Guwahati with the MLAs, he said that can’t we go to the BJP ruled state. No one can take us forcibly. We have gone by ourselves. On being in touch with Devendra Fadnavis, Shinde said that I am not in touch with anyone. I am with my MLAs only.

Eknath Shinde said – what will you do on the claim of forming the government?

Regarding the recommendation of Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation and then the dissolution of the assembly, he said that we will hold a meeting and after that we will decide our strategy. Let us tell you that there are speculations about Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation from the post of CM. At present he is holding a cabinet meeting and after that he can resign. Uddhav Thackeray has also been found corona infected. In such a situation, he is holding a cabinet meeting through virtual mode itself. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MLA Nitin Deshmukh, who was present in Surat, says that he is with Uddhav Thackeray. He said that 200 policemen were behind me in Surat. I am Balasaheb’s Shiv Sainik and will not go anywhere except Uddhav Thackeray.

Not only the government of Shiv Sena, the party also faced a crisis.

If Eknath Shinde’s claim turns out to be true, it will be the biggest break in Shiv Sena. Eknath Shinde can form a new faction due to having more than two-thirds of the MLAs and the membership of any MLA will not be taken away. In such a situation, if Shiv Sena will lose the government on one hand, then the strength of the party will also be reduced. Till now Shiv Sena has split thrice, but this fourth one could be the biggest one.
