There has been a major reshuffle in the latest released ICC ODI Batsmen’s Rankings. Ireland batsman Harry Tector has also left behind Team India captain Rohit Sharma and veteran batsman Virat Kohli in the rankings. Apart from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, India’s Shubman Gill is included in the list of top-10 ODI batsmen. Pakistan captain Babar Azam remains the top batsman in the ICC ODI rankings, followed by South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen at number two. Harry Tector has gained 9 places in the latest rankings and has reached the seventh position. In the recently concluded ODI series against Bangladesh, Tector played a memorable inning of 140 runs. Tector was the highest run-getter in that series and this has helped him in the latest ODI batsmen rankings.
Three of the top-5 batsmen are from Pakistan. Fakhar Zaman is on the third and Imam-ul-Haq on the fourth position. India’s star batsman Shubman Gill is at number five. Gill has the highest ranking from India. Australia’s David Warner is at number six, while Harry Tector is at number seven.
Virat Kohli has suffered a loss of one place in the latest rankings. He has slipped to the eighth position. At number 9 is South Africa’s wicket-keeper batsman Quinton Dickock. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is at the 10th position.
