Weather Report: When will there be relief from the rain and snowfall; IMD told the weather condition of UP-Delhi-Punjab

After rain and cold winds in many areas of North India, now there are chances of getting relief. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that there is no possibility of cold wave in the North-West parts for the next 5-6 days. IMD scientist Dr. Naresh said, ‘Rain and snowfall were seen in the Himalayan areas of the Western Disturbance that became active 2 days ago. In some places, 50 to 60 cm of snow fell. People faced rain in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Rain was also reported in NCR. Now we are hoping that the Western Disturbance has gone away.

On Sunday and Monday, the cold wave affected many areas of North India. Due to rain, a drop in temperature was also recorded. According to the Weather Department, the mercury dropped by 2-3 degrees in Delhi-NCR on Monday. Delhiites woke up to a cold Tuesday morning with the mercury settling at 9.9 degrees Celsius. The city had recorded 20 mm of rain in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Monday. The weathermen have predicted moderate fog and maximum temperature to be around 22 degree Celsius.

Temperature dropped due to rain in Rajasthan

Dense fog enveloped most parts of Rajasthan on Tuesday morning after the rains of the past days, affecting normal life including traffic. A spokesman of the Meteorological Department said that in the picture received from the satellite on Tuesday morning, dense fog is visible in most areas of the state. During this, the visibility at the capital Jaipur airport was recorded at 50 metres. Dense fog affected traffic, especially on the highways. The minimum temperature has dropped in Bikaner division due to rain and hailstorm due to Western Disturbance. The minimum temperature was recorded at 5.0 degree Celsius in Phalodi and 6.8 degree Celsius in Fatehpur on Monday night.

Cold winds increased in Madhya Pradesh

Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there has been an increase in cold in Madhya Pradesh due to cloud cover and cold winds blowing after light drizzle at some places. Scientists of the Meteorological Center Bhopal said that the state remained cloudy for the last few days and there was light rain at some places. The effect of this cold may last for one to two days, as another western disturbance is likely to form from February 2. However, its effect will be less in the state but reduction in cold can be seen. Today in the capital Bhopal and its surrounding areas, the sky was partly cloudy, due to which the sunlight looked soft. During the next 24 hours also, similar weather conditions are expected to prevail here.

Weather improves in Kashmir, air and rail services restored

With the improvement in the weather in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, air operations resumed here on Tuesday. Flight operations at the Srinagar International Airport remained suspended for the whole day due to heavy snowfall on Monday. Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained closed for the second consecutive day today due to stone pelting and mudslides at various places. The weather will remain dry from February 1 to February 4 and thereafter light rain and snow at isolated places on February 5 next week. There will be no widespread snowfall for the next 10 days.
