The statement made by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday on CCA has been retaliated by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Owaisi has said that we are not children who should be misled by the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Owaisi further said in his tweet that BJP has not said anything about what CAA + NRC had to do. If it is not about Muslims, then remove everything related to religion in it. Remember that we will keep opposing till we have a law that will ask us to prove our Indianness.
Owaisi has further written that I also want to say to the Congress, RJD and their teammates that your silence during the movement is not forgotten. When BJP leaders were calling people as Seemanchal infiltrators, RJD and Congress did not break their silence even once.
We’re not kids to be ‘misguided’. BJP didn’t mince words about what CAA + NRC were meant to do. If it’s not about Muslims, just remove all references to religion from the law? Know this: we’ll protest again & again till there are laws that require us to prove our Indianness … https://t.co/uccZ8JTjsi

In fact, Mohan Bhagwat, who reached the annual Dussehra rally of the Sangh, said on Sunday that there is no opposition to any particular community in this Citizenship Act Amendment Act of India. He has said that the Citizenship Act Amendment Act (CAA) was passed in the country’s parliament, implementing the entire process.
He further said that there was a provision for granting early citizenship in the interest of humanity to the exiles who were being tortured and displaced due to communal reasons from some neighboring countries. There is a history of communal harassment in those countries. Bhagwat said, this amendment does not oppose any particular religious community. However, those opposing the law created such an atmosphere that the number of Muslims in this country is not large, so this law has been made.
