UP News: A warning to 56 backward districts in the order of books, instructions to fix the responsibility of the officers in 15 days


Despite the commencement of the academic session of the Basic Education Council schools, 56 districts have not yet ordered books. On this, the government has given instructions to take action and fix the responsibility of the officers in 15 days.

In fact, the deadline for the supply of books for publishers is set for early September. Officials argue that with the arrival of books, supplies will start soon in some districts. Then as the books arrive, the supply will continue, but in the districts itself there is a delay in ordering. In such a situation, children will get these books more late. Apart from this, those who were lax in reviewing various works related to enrollment of children in schools, adoption of schools, MIS coordinator selection, Aadhar kit operation, pending cases in court etc. were warned.

So far only 19 districts have placed orders

After the commencement of the session from June 16, so far only 19 districts have placed orders for the publishers. These include Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Bhadohi, Sonbhadra, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Ballia, Jhansi, Amethi, Barabanki, Ambedkar Nagar, Shravasti.

Answer sought from 12 districts on delay in furniture supply

Under the approved furniture supply in the year 2020-21, furniture has been supplied in 20 districts and is going on in 38. At the same time, supply has not started in Lalitpur, Saharanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Mainpuri, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Chitrakoot, Azamgarh, Lucknow, Shravasti, Agra and Unnao. Instructions have been given to 12 such districts to seek clarification and fix responsibility for the delay.

There is also laxity in infrastructure facilities

In the matter of improving the infrastructure facilities in the schools under Operation Kayakalp, displeasure was expressed over the lack of progress in Sitapur, Kushinagar, Pratapgarh, Banda, Unnao, Gorakhpur, Kannauj, Mau, Siddharthnagar. Along with this, instructions were given to complete the work by September 2022.

Less than 50 percent of Bluetooth speakers have been procured in Bhadohi, Lucknow, Mau, Hathras, Deoria, Kannauj, Balrampur, Auraiya, Siddharthnagar and Gorakhpur. The situation of library operation was also found disturbed in many districts. Siddharthnagar, Bijnor, Chandauli and Kushinagar got the least progress in the construction of girls hostel and academic block in Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools.
