Rahul Gandhi has spoken to the media on the controversy over his speech in London. Rahul Gandhi said that 4 ministers of the central government have made allegations against me and I want to speak in Parliament in response to that. But I am not being given a chance to answer. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘As soon as I reached Parliament today, the house was adjourned. I have sought time to talk to the speaker tomorrow, but it is not expected that these people will give me a chance to speak.
Rahul Gandhi linked the allegations against him to the Adani controversy. The Congress leader said that it all started from the day I gave a speech in Parliament regarding Adani. He said that my speech on Gautam Adani was prepared only from those things which are in public. Then large parts of my speech were expunged from the records of Parliament itself.
‘It is my right to speak in Parliament, which is being trampled’
Rahul Gandhi said that I am a member of Parliament and there four ministers have leveled allegations against me. That’s why I have the right to answer his allegations in Parliament itself. Rahul Gandhi said that it is a test of democracy whether they will let me speak or not. I don’t think they will give me a chance to speak. Rahul Gandhi said that only after answering in Parliament, I will talk to the media completely.
Union minister again said – Rahul will have to apologize
Before talking to the media, Rahul Gandhi met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and sought time to speak on the allegations against him in the House. Meanwhile, Union Minister Piyush Goyal has once again attacked Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi should apologise. He is showing small mindedness and has brought Congress to a very low level. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi also said that Indians living around the world were feeling humiliated by Rahul Gandhi’s speech. Rahul should apologize on this.
