There was an agreement between BJP-AAP regarding Gujarat and Delhi, claims Sanjay Raut

The results of the Gujarat elections came out on Thursday. Just a day before this, the result of Municipal Corporation of Delhi was released. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a landslide victory in Gujarat, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got success in the MCD. Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav camp) firebrand leader Sanjay Raut, who has been in limelight for his statements, has linked both the results. He claimed that the BJP and AAP had entered into an agreement regarding Gujarat and Delhi.

Reacting to the BJP’s victory in Gujarat, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said there was talk among people that it could be a tie-up between the BJP and AAP.

When Sanjay Raut was asked a question about BJP’s record-breaking victory in Gujarat, he said, “People have a doubt that BJP must have told Aam Aadmi Party that you keep Delhi MCD and we keep Gujarat with us.” Raut said that if parties like the AAP had joined hands with the Congress to fight the BJP, the Gujarat elections could have been a much closer contest. Sanjay Raut said that the results of Himachal Pradesh give hope for non-BJP parties in future.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray congratulated PM Narendra Modi for the victory in Gujarat, but added that the victory was due to the BJP moving industries (such as Foxconn and Tata Airbus) to Gujarat.
