Deliveries of Mahindra Scorpio N will start from Dussehra this year, with up to 25,000 vehicles being delivered to customers, mostly the top-end Z8 L variants, which will reach customers’ homes by November. Apart from this, Mahindra Scorpio N has surpassed the XUV700 to become the SUV with the longest waiting period in India.
Mahindra launched the Scorpio N in six variants with petrol and diesel engine options. Its starting model is the N Z2, which comes with features like AC vents and LED tail-lamps. The price of Scorpio NZ2 ranges from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 12.49 lakh. Its waiting period has currently reached around 22 months for both petrol and diesel variants.
The waiting period of Scorpio N Z4 is also up to two years. This variant comes with features like 8.0-inch touchscreen, cruise control and ESC. Its price ranges from Rs 13.49 lakh-16.49 lakh.
Scorpio Z6 and Z8
There is a waiting period of two years on the Scorpio Z6 and Z8. The Z6 gets features like a sunroof, drive mode and connected car tech, while the Z8 gets a leather interior, powered mirrors and curtain airbags. The Scorpio Z6 is priced at Rs 14.99 Lakh-16.95 Lakh, while the Z8 is priced at Rs 16.99 Lakh-21.90 Lakh.
Mahindra is trying to speed up the delivery of the top-spec Scorpio NZ8L as the demand for it is also high. The waiting period for the Scorpio N Z8L petrol and diesel variants is around 20 months, which is currently the lowest in the line-up.
Also, as per the report, the waiting period for some variants of the XUV700 has come down by around three months, with the waiting period on the top-spec AX7 L being around 16 months from 19 months a few months back.
