The government brought the Agneepath scheme with the right intention, the Union Minister told why is there opposition

On the opposition to the new Agneepath scheme of recruitment in the army, Union Minister V. Muraleedharan says that the government has brought it with the right intention. He said that the central government has brought it with the right intention, but the people protesting are not able to understand it. He said that the central government understands the concerns of the youth and will try its best to convince them. The Minister of State for Finance said that about the people opposing this scheme, he said that this is happening because some people are not able to understand it. Let us inform that this scheme was announced on Tuesday and from the very next day, violent demonstrations are taking place in many states of the country including Bihar, UP, Haryana.

V. Muraleedharan said, ‘The government has come up with the Agneepath scheme with the right intention. Maybe some people don’t understand it and are demonstrating. The government understands the concerns of the citizens and tries to address them. Due to this the age limit of recruitment has been increased from 21 years to 23 years. The agitators should understand that the government of PM Narendra Modi has always taken care of the youth and has always made efforts to address their concerns. Before him, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah have also appealed to the youth to end their protest.

The scheme was announced by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the chiefs of the three services on June 14. However, after the protest intensified, the government had decided to increase the age limit of recruitment by two years, announcing a big relief to the youth. However, the controversy still does not seem to stop. On Friday too, this movement continued in many states of the country including UP, Bihar. In Secunderabad, Telangana, a young man also died. Apart from this, about half a dozen people have been injured. Today, RJD has also called a Bihar bandh in support of this movement, which parties like VIP and HUM have announced to support.
