A shocking case of negligence has come to light in Raigad district of Maharashtra. Here the bodies of two people of the same name and almost the same age were exchanged. However, before the last rites, the families of both the persons found a difference in their mustaches and then the bodies were exchanged with each other. Ramakant Patil (62), a resident of Pejari village in Alibag tehsil, died at MGM Hospital due to blood pressure and diabetes, while Ram Patil (66), a resident of Dahiwali village in Panvel tehsil, died of kidney and liver ailments in the same hospital. The reason was death.
A relative of one of the deceased said on Thursday, “Ramakant Patil’s relatives realized that the deceased had a different mustache just before the cremation. The hospital was contacted, but the staff there refused to admit to any disturbance. done.”
Ram Patil’s family also felt that something was wrong and both the groups reached MGM Hospital. After this the hospital administration made arrangements for the exchange of dead bodies. Meanwhile, the hospital management in a statement defended itself and said that both the families had seen the bodies before accepting them.
