Suryakumar Yadav played match winning innings by opening, former cricketer still raised questions on batting order

Surya failed in the first two matches but in the third match he played a match-winning innings and was also adjudged man of the match, but despite this the debate about his batting order is not ending. Former cricketer Saba Karim believes that the best batting order for Suriya is number-4.

According to Sportskeeda, Saba Karim said, ‘I still feel that the best batting position for him is number-4. Especially against the best bowling attack in the world. The number-4 batting position becomes very important in ICC events, you need a player like Suryakumar Yadav in such a position. He plays the fast bowlers as well as the spinners and also balances the strike rate.

On the other hand, former cricketer Ritender Singh Sodhi said, ‘He is a wonderful player, he has proved himself at the international level. He is a great player in the middle order, he knows how to run the game. He knows how to keep changing the strike and doesn’t let the scoreboard stall. Regarding opening Suryakumar Yadav, captain Rohit Sharma has said that he wants all the batsmen to be comfortable in batting at every batting position. Rishabh Pant opened the innings with Rohit in the series against England.
