Sonipat Road Accident: In a heart-wrenching road accident in Haryana’s Sonipat district, 3 medical students died tragically. According to reports, a speeding car collided with a barricade on Thursday on the Meerut-Jhajjar National Highway passing through Sonipat, causing it to catch fire. According to the information given by the police, 3 medical students in the car were burnt to death while 3 others were injured in this accident.

‘Car collided with barricade near Rai village’

Giving information about the incident, the police said that Pulkit and Narbir, residents of Narnaul and Sandesh, residents of Rewari, Rohit, resident of Gurugram, Ankit, resident of Khidwali village of Rohtak, Sombir, resident of Kalanaur, are third year students in Rohtak PGI. He told that all the 6 students had left Rohtak for Haridwar-Rishikesh in the early hours of Thursday in a car. Police said the car of MBBS students collided with the barricade near Rai village, causing it to catch fire.

‘The condition of the three injured remains critical’

Police said that due to the fire in the car, Pulkit, Sandesh and Rohit were burnt to death, while the police reached the spot after getting information and took the injured Ankit, Sombir and Narbir to the general hospital, where they were given first aid by PGI. Referred to Rohtak. He said that the three injured have been admitted to the ICU of the Rohtak PGI Trauma Center, but they remain very critical.

Rai police station registered an FIR

Rohtak PGI Registrar Dr. H.K. Agarwal said that all the victims were students of the year 2019-20 batch. He told that 3 students of MBBS third year died on the spot in the accident, whose postmortem will be done in Sonepat itself. He said that one of the 3 injured is a student of BDS course. All three are being treated at the trauma centre. Meanwhile, Rai Police Station is investigating the matter by registering an FIR.
