Shivsena’s Dussehra rally will not be held in Shivaji Park? BMC can reject both the applications

The ruckus continues over the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Maharashtra. At present, the decision has not yet been given by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation regarding the organization of the rally. Now there is news that the application of both the Shiv Sena factions can be rejected. The special thing is that the Shiv Sena has been in control of BMC for more than two decades, but due to the completion of the term, its command is currently with the state administrator.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and minister in Maharashtra government Sudhir Mungantiwar said on Wednesday that the petitions of both the parties could be rejected. He also told that both the groups can be asked to rally at some other place. Things have changed in Shiv Sena after the rebellion of the current Chief Minister of the state Eknath Shinde. Shinde Camp is claiming to be the real Shiv Sena.

During his interaction with reporters, Mungantiwar also raised the issue of Shiv Sena’s election symbol ‘Dhanush Baan’. He said, ‘Eknath Shinde has demanded freezing of the symbol in the Supreme Court. I believe that the party symbol would belong to its members and not the property of any one. If Eknath Shinde has the support of 40 MLAs of the original Shiv Sena, he has the right to claim the symbol.

Language-wise, Mungantiwar said the election symbol is not an asset that outsiders cannot claim. Senior BJP leader Fadnavis rubbished allegations that the civic body was blocking all grounds for the Dussehra rally. “The state government has not blocked any Aadhaar,” he said in Nagpur. Permission will be given as per rules.
