Now Sharad Pawar has intervened in this matter between Congress and Shiv Sena. Sharad Pawar, who reached the meeting at Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence, explained to the Congress during this time that he should not speak much on the issue of Savarkar. Opposition leaders told that at the behest of Sharad Pawar, the Congress has also asked not to speak much on Savarkar.

Two leaders who attended the meeting called by the Congress told that Sharad Pawar raised this issue during the meeting. Sharad Pawar explained to the Congress that it is not right to target Veer Savarkar, whose name is held in high esteem in Maharashtra. Taking a jibe at Veer Savarkar will not help the Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were also present in this meeting along with the opposition leaders. During this meeting, Sharad Pawar told Rahul Gandhi that Savarkar had never been a member of the RSS.

In fact, Rahul Gandhi has attacked Veer Savarkar many times, on which the Shiv Sena of the Uddhav Thackeray faction has also instructed him. But now when an apology was being demanded from Rahul Gandhi for his speech given abroad, Rahul Gandhi once again said that my name is not Savarkar, it is Gandhi and Gandhi does not apologize to anyone. Uddhav Thackeray’s party got angry on this and he refused to go to the meeting called by Congress.
