The problem of air pollution is increasing in Delhi-NCR. Due to this, orders have been issued to run online classes till November 8 in all the schools from class 1 to class 8 in Gautam Budh Nagar. It has been said that classes from 9th to 12th can also be run online if needed. At the same time, the administration has also banned all outdoor activities in schools till further orders.
The Central Air Quality Commission has banned the operation and entry of diesel-powered light vehicles in Delhi-NCR after air pollution reached alarming levels. Along with this, the panel has also banned the entry of trucks not running on electric or CNG in Delhi. At the same time, after increasing pollution in Delhi, stage-4 of GRAP has been started.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘severe’ category on Thursday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). DPS Indirapuram Principal Sangeeta Hajela said that the air quality becomes very bad especially in this season, but closure of schools will hamper the pace of academic learning.
