Jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain has a blood clot due to a head injury. However, his condition is stable. He is being treated at a government hospital here. Sources gave this information on Friday. Sources said a four-member medical board has been constituted for Jain’s treatment. He was admitted to the ICU of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital on Thursday.

According to sources, the board members include senior doctors from LNJP Hospital, neurologists from GB Pant Hospital and doctors specializing in intensive care. Earlier in the day, sources had said that Jain’s medical condition was being examined. He had said that the condition of the former minister is now stable. Due to the injury, a blood clot has frozen in his head. He is currently being treated. Several investigations including MRI have been done on him, whose report is awaited.

Sources said that former Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain is undergoing treatment in the ICU. The Supreme Court Friday granted interim bail for six weeks to former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case on medical grounds, saying a citizen has the right to get treatment of his choice in a private hospital at his own cost. Jain had collapsed in the toilet in Tihar Jail on Thursday due to dizziness, following which he was admitted to a government hospital.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had targeted the central government over his deteriorating health. The former Delhi minister was first admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital due to breathing problems and later shifted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital. Sources in the Aam Aadmi Party had said that Jain has been admitted to the ICU of LNJP Hospital and is ‘critically ill’.

A hospital source said- Jain’s medical condition is being investigated. He told that the doctors are constantly monitoring his condition. This is the second time in the last week that Jain has been taken to the hospital. AAP said that Jain fell down in the toilet of Tihar Jail on Thursday due to dizziness. Earlier too, he had fallen in the prison toilet and suffered a serious spinal injury.
