Team India opener Rohit Sharma has achieved a special position in international cricket against Australia. Rohit Sharma became the first batsman to score a century of sixes against Australia in international cricket. Rohit achieved this special position by hitting a great six off Nathan Lyon at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It was his 224th international six off Rohit’s bat. In the Sydney Test, Rohit along with Shubman Gill gave Team India a good start. Both of them together dominated the Australian bowlers and batted. India lost the first wicket for 70 runs. Rohit was dismissed for 26 off 77 balls.

Rohit has scored 100 international centuries against Australia, while Eoin Morgan is second in this case with 60 sixes. Brendon McCallum is at number six with 61 sixes. While Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have hit 60 sixes against Australia. The third Test of the four-Test Border Gavaskar Series between India and Australia is being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. On the second day of this match, Team India made a tremendous comeback. Australia started at 166 for two on the first day. At one time Australia’s score was 206 for 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja got the crucial wicket to team India by dismissing the dangerous looking Marnus Labushen. Labushen was dismissed by 91 runs. After this, the entire Australian team was reduced to 338 runs. Smith scored 131 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets from India, while Navdeep Saini and Jaspreet Bumrah took two wickets each. Apart from these two, Mohammad Siraj took one wicket.
Rohit is returning to this match after injury. Rohit was injured during the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), after which he did not play the limited overs series on Australia tour. Rohit could not join Team India in the first two Tests as well. In this match, he has been included in the playing eleven in place of Mayank Agarwal.
