A couple from Gurugram got their pet dog married to a neighborhood dog according to traditional Indian customs. In Sheru and Sweety’s wedding, about 100 people attended the procession on the invitation of the couple. Sweety was wearing a red lehenga with kajal in her eyes. Seven rounds of both were also done. The couple says that they never considered Sweety and Sheru to be dogs (pets). He used to treat them like his own child. The couple also says that they do not have any children. They are getting a lot of happiness by getting their pets married today. The video of this incident is becoming quite viral on social media.

The owners of Sheru (male dog) and Sweety (female dog) got them married according to Indian traditions. According to the owners of the pets, 100 invitation letters for the wedding were sent to the Jila Singh Colony neighborhood of Palam Vihar Extension as they attended the wedding ceremony as ‘baraati’.

Speaking to ANI, Savita alias Rani, the guardian of a female dog named Sweety, said, “I am a pet lover. I have no kids, so Sweety is our baby girl. My husband used to go to temples and watch animals. We used to give food. One day a stray dog ​​came after them and came to us 3 years ago. We named her Sweety. Everyone used to say that we should get Sweety married. We discussed it and then this program was only for four days. We got married following all the customs.”

Savita says that ceremonies like haldi were also performed for both the dogs. On the other hand, Manita, the owner of the male dog Sheru said, “We are with Sheru for the last eight years. We have always treated him like our own child. We discussed with our neighbors about the marriage of our dogs but then suddenly we stopped it.” Got serious about it and got ready for marriage. “We invited around 100 people. We printed 25 cards and the rest were online invitations,” Manita said.

When asked how others reacted to the invitation, Manita said, “Some people like it and some people don’t. We are not worried at all. We just did what we wanted.”
