Shiv Sena minister Eknath Shinde has camped in a hotel in Surat along with some party MLAs while rebelling. Meanwhile, there is news that the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs present in Surat in Gujarat will be shifted to Guwahati in Assam. Both are BJP ruled states. According to media reports, the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs will be airlifted to take them to Guwahati. However, there is no official confirmation yet as to where they will be taken.

In view of the political crisis, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with the remaining MLAs in Mumbai. Apart from Shiv Sena, MLAs of Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance were also present in the meeting. As soon as the meeting is over, all the Shiv Sena MLAs are now being shifted to a hotel in Worli. The MLAs are being shifted to St. Regis Hotel in Worli after a meeting at Thackeray’s official residence Varsha.

Thackeray spoke to Shinde

Two Shiv Sena leaders sent by Uddhav Thackeray met rebel leader Eknath Shinde and other MLAs at a Surat hotel on Tuesday and discussed in detail how to address the internal crisis that has the potential to threaten the existence of the Maharashtra government. The discussion took place at the hotel between Thackeray’s confidante Milind Narvekar and Ravindra Phatak and Shinde and other MLAs. After a meeting that lasted for nearly two hours, Narvekar and Ravindra left for Mumbai by road without answering media queries.

According to the reports, after reaching the hotel, Milind Narvekar got Eknath Shinde to talk to CM Uddhav Thackeray on the phone during the talks. It is being told that the talks between the two lasted for about 20 minutes. During this, Shinde claimed that he has 35 MLAs with him.

He also alleged that two of these MLAs, including Nitin Deshmukh, were beaten up and Deshmukh suffered a heart attack. Taking action against Shinde (58), who hails from Thane, Shiv Sena has removed him from the post of leader of the party group in the Maharashtra Assembly.

Shiv Sainiks gathered at party headquarters to show support for Uddhav

Mumbai Police on Tuesday deployed a large number of police personnel at the party headquarters in Dadar area, amid developments that there was no communication with Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and several MLAs. Hundreds of workers gathered outside Shiv Sena Bhavan to show their support for party president Uddhav Thackeray after news of Shinde’s rebelliousness surfaced on Tuesday morning.

A woman worker who reached the party headquarters said, “The protest will continue against those who have betrayed the Shiv Sena. Our leader Uddhav Thackeray will overcome all these problems and emerge victorious.” Another party worker said, “When Balasaheb Thackeray (Shiv Sena founder) was alive, he used to say that the way you people supported me Support Uddhav in the same way. We are doing the same. We all have gathered here to show our support for Uddhav Thackeray.
