Two people died on Sunday night under suspicious circumstances in Bala village of Lakki Nabiganj police station in Siwan district. The deceased are said to be residents of this village. One of them has been identified as Janakdev Rawat. One has not been identified. Whereas, six people are sick, who have been sent to the PHC in Basantpur for first aid.
Death due to poisonous liquor – relatives
The relatives of the deceased have alleged that their health deteriorated due to drinking spurious liquor, after which they died. It has been told that his health deteriorated after consuming alcohol in Bala village itself. The treatment of four sick persons is going on in Sadar Hospital. At the same time, DM Amit Kumar Pandey told that one death has been reported in suspicious condition, after which the dead body is being recovered and post mortem is being done at Sadar Hospital. On the other hand, the administration and the police team are constantly working to bring other sick people to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Post mortem will clear the cause of death- DM
According to DM Amit Kumar, whether he died due to drinking alcohol or due to other reasons, it will be clear only after the post-mortem. The administration team has been fully alerted. Primary Health Center Ladki Nabiganj and Basantpur PHC have also been asked to treat any sick person. If his condition worsens, he has also been told to refer him to Sadar Hospital. Close monitoring is being done. All sick people are being traced and asked to go for treatment.
77 people died due to spurious liquor in Saran
Earlier, in Bihar’s Saran itself, 77 people had died after drinking spurious liquor. Which was prepared from homeopathic medicine and chemical. Liquor was sold through the spirit supply chain in the name of this homeopathic medicine. The Saran police had unearthed the spurious liquor case.
