PM Modi should clear some confusion, Venkaiah Naidu advised to meet leaders

Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should clear the opposition’s “misunderstanding” about his methods by meeting leaders from all sides. Along with this, he also gave advice to the opposition. The occasion was the release of a book on the speeches of the Prime Minister. Naidu praised PM Modi for India’s stupendous achievements in many fields including health, foreign policy and technology and said that India is now being recognized in the world.

However, Naidu said that despite Modi’s achievements, some sections still have “some misunderstandings, perhaps due to some political compulsions” or some objections about his methods. “With time, these misunderstandings should also be cleared. The Prime Minister should clear those misunderstandings by meeting the ruling party as well as the leaders of the opposition,” Naidu said.

Advice to the opposition

Naidu further said that political parties should also keep an open mind and respect the mandate. “They should also be open-minded… You all should also understand that you are not an enemy but a rival. All parties should respect each other.”

Arif Mohammad Khan praised PM

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and Information and Broadcasting Secretary Apoorva Chandra were also present at the function. Arif Khan lauded the Prime Minister for enacting a law to ban the practice of triple talaq among Muslims.
