By sharing an old video of the late Shiv Sena supremo, Raj Thackeray reminded CM Uddhav Thackeray of the things said by his father Bal Thackeray. In the video, Bal Thackeray is saying, ‘When my government comes to Maharashtra, we will not live without stopping the street namaz and bringing down the loudspeakers from the mosques. Religion should be such that it should not come in the way of national interest. If our Hindus do something wrong, then come and tell me, we will solve that too, but the loudspeakers will come down from the mosque.’

The MNS chief said, ‘I appeal to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra that years ago Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray had said that all loudspeakers need to be switched off. Are you going to follow it? Tell the people of Maharashtra what is going to happen?’ With this, Raj Thackeray said that ‘if not now or never’.
