NSUI activist throws ink on the car of Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra, who arrived to protest the heritage project in Puri, Odisha. He was passing near Jhadeshwari Chhak when a man from the crowd threw ink on his car. Sambit Patra said, I have forgiven him. The Congress party has neither any leader nor the passion to serve the people. That’s why I forgive them.
In fact, the ASI, while filing a reply in the High Court, said that no excavation or construction work has been allowed within 100 meters of the Jagannath temple. Patra also condemned the formation of the state government and reached Puri to protest against it.
The BJP leader was returning from Puri when ink was thrown at his car and black flags were shown on the way. Meanwhile, the SDJM court has directed that a case be registered against the Puri Collector, Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation and Tata Projects. The court had given this direction while hearing the petition of Bibhuti Shankar Tripathi and adjourned the hearing till May 11.

Earlier, Tripathi, who is the secretary of the Puri Bar Association, had approached the police with his complaint. He had said that construction is being done in a restricted area near the temple which is illegal and is being done without the permission of the ASI.
