Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train on Wednesday. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Monday. According to the PMO, the Prime Minister will flag off this train through video conference. The regular service of this train will start from April 13, 2023, which will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt. This train will also stop at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon.
Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance from Ajmer to Delhi Cantt in 5 hours 15 minutes. Currently the fastest train on this route is Shatabdi Express which travels between Delhi Cantt to Ajmer in 6 hours 15 minutes. Thus Vande Bharat Express will be 60 minutes faster than the current fastest train running on that route. PMO said that this train will improve connectivity to major tourist places of Rajasthan including Pushkar, Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
At what time will the train run and what will be the speed?
This Vande Bharat train running between Ajmer to New Delhi can run at a speed of 110 km. It is being told that its speed will be further increased in the coming times. According to the information, this train can leave from Delhi at 6.10 in the evening and then reach Gurugram at 6.45 in the evening. After this it will reach Alwar via Rewari and reach Jaipur at 10.20 in the night. It is expected to reach Ajmer at 12.15 pm. It is being said that this Vande Bharat will run for all the remaining six days of the week except Wednesday.
The country got the gift of 13 Vande Bharat trains
It may be known that till now the country has got the gift of 13 Vande Bharat Express trains. PM Modi had flagged off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express on Saturday itself. The train is expected to reduce travel time between the capital of Tamil Nadu and the industrial city of Coimbatore by more than an hour. At a function at MGR Chennai Central Railway Station, the Prime Minister flagged off the special train, which is equipped with modern features and passenger amenities, for the inauguration. He also interacted with school students in the train. “This is the fastest train between the two cities with a travel time of 5 hours 50 minutes, thereby saving more than an hour in travel time,” said an official release.
