The Union Cabinet met on Thursday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which several important decisions were taken. Giving information about the cabinet decision, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the mechanism has been approved for the purchase of ethanol.
In addition to this, to promote jute bags, food grains will be packed in jute bags. Now the packages of grain will be made of jute bags and 20 percent packets of sugar.
In addition, the second and third phases of the plan for the protection and repair of dams were approved in the Union Cabinet. About 10 thousand 211 crore rupees will be spent on this project on selected 736 dams across the country. Under this scheme, existing dams will be built on the basis of new technology. Also, the dams which are quite old will be improved.
