Accused were roaming around in Mahapanchayat: Deputy Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner Yashpal said in a statement that 28 people were arrested by the police following the uproar during the Mahapanchayat held at Dussehra Ground in Ballabhgarh on Sunday on the Nikita murder case. During the health and Kovid investigations of all these three people have been found to be Kovid-19 positive. These people continued to roam inside the assembly and the rules of Kovid-19 were not followed here. In such a situation, advisory is being issued to all the people involved in the Mahapanchayat to have a home quarantine for the next 10 days.
Did not follow the rules of epidemic
The Deputy Commissioner said that Kovid-19 cases have been increasing continuously in the district since the last 10 days and around 300 Kovid-19 positive cases are being reported every day. Despite such a serious situation, some people organized a mahapanchayat at Dussehra ground in Ballabhgarh on Sunday. He said that some people created a ruckus during the Mahapanchayat and also tried to jam the highway. Meanwhile, the police took action and arrested 28 people. When the Kovid-19 investigation of these arrested 28 people was conducted, three of them were badly infected with Kovid-19. These people constantly roamed between the stage and the people in the program. He said that during the program, people did not follow the mask and social distancing as per the guidelines of Kovid-19. This increases the severity more. With this, all other people involved in the Mahapanchayat are also likely to be Kovid positive. In view of this, Civil Surgeon Faridabad has issued advisory to all those involved in the meeting. The advisory recommends all people to be home quarantined for ten days to prevent the spread of this epidemic.
Ban on meetings
The Deputy Commissioner has also issued instructions not to hold such meetings in future. He has also appealed to the general public to understand the severity of the Kovid-19 (Corona) epidemic and must maintain social distancing and use masks.
