Mukhtar Ansari’s known enemy Don Brajesh Singh out of jail after 14 years, released after relief from High Court

Don Brijesh Singh, a known enemy of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, has come out of jail after 14 years. Brijesh Singh was arrested in 2008 from Bhubaneswar after going missing for many years. Since then he has been in various prisons. During this, MLC was also formed. Brajesh was lodged in Varanasi Central Jail since 2016. On Wednesday itself, Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra of the High Court had granted bail to Brijesh Singh in the Mukhtar Ansari attack case.

On Thursday, Brajesh Singh’s lawyer submitted a copy of the High Court’s order to the Special MP/MLA Court of Additional Sessions Judge (1st) Ramsudh Singh of Ghazipur. The court ordered the release of Brijesh Singh on the basis of the bond of two sureties of one lakh each.

Brijesh Singh was released on Thursday evening at 6.59 pm as soon as the court’s permit reached Varanasi Central Jail. It is being told that after getting bail from the Ghazipur court, the supporters had gathered outside the Central Jail since afternoon. After leaving in the evening, Brijesh Singh reached the residence at Siddhagiri Bagh with the convoy.

Mukhtar was attacked on July 15, 2001.

On July 15, 2001, at 12.30 a.m. in the Muhammadabad area, a convoy of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari was on his way to Mau near Usri Chatti with automatic weapons. In this, the gunner of Bahubali died on the spot.

An attacking shooter was also killed. In the case, Mukhtar had filed a case against Brijesh Singh and Tribhuvan Singh against the nominated and 15 unknown assailants. Police filed charge sheet against four people. Two of the accused died during the investigation.
