Maulana of Deoband furious over Mehbooba Mufti’s Mahadev worship, told against Islam

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti visited a Navagraha temple in Poonch on Wednesday. During this, he performed Jalabhishek on the Shivling. Deoband did not like the visit of the Muslim leader to the temple. Asad Qasmi has called it against Islam. He said that what Mehbooba has done is not right. His going to the temple and pouring water on the Shivling is against the belief of Islam.

Let us tell you that Mehbooba Mufti was on a tour of Poonch district. During this he offered prayers at the Navagraha temple and also performed Jalabhishek on the Shivling. BJP also did not like his visit to the temple. The saffron party has termed it as a political gimmick. Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania said, “In 2008, Mehbooba Mufti and her party opposed the allotment of land to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. Temporary transfer was not allowed.”

He said, “His visit to the temple is only a political gimmick, which will not yield any results. If political gimmicks could bring change, today Jammu and Kashmir would have been a garden of prosperity.”

During this, Mehbooba Mufti also offered flowers on the statue of Yashpal Sharma built in the temple premises.
