Manchester City Sign Erling Haaland: Arling Haaland joins Manchester City, will get Rs 3.57 crore per week

Norway’s young star Arling Haaland will now be seen playing in England’s English Premier League (EPL). EPL’s defending champions Manchester City confirmed his transfer on Tuesday (May 10). Haaland currently plays for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Germany. Interestingly, his father Alfi Inge Haaland has also played for Manchester City. Alfie Inge was a member of City from 2000 to 2003.

Manchester City said in its statement, “We have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Arling Haaland from 1 July 2022.” Famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that Manchester City Dortmund 60 million euros (approximately Rs 488 crore) as a release clause, plus a separate commission.

Kevin De Bruyne salary

Talking about Haaland’s salary, he will get 375,000 pounds per week (about Rs 3.57 crore per week). He will be on par with Manchester City’s star player Kevin De Bruyne. Haaland has passed the medical to join the team. Many big teams in Europe tried to buy this star footballer, but City got success. Apart from Spain’s Barcelona and Real Madrid, France’s Paris Saint-Germain also tried for Haland.

Haaland will play under Pep Guardiola

The 21-year-old has scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for Borussia Dortmund. Now Haaland will play in the team of Pep Guardiola, considered the best manager in the world. Manchester City lost to Chelsea in the final of the Champions League last year. At the same time, this year he lost in the semi-final against Real Madrid. The arrival of Haaland will increase the aggression of the team. Its advantage can be seen in big tournaments.

Why did Manchester City buy Hollande?

City have won several titles in England in recent years, but have not been successful in European tournaments. The team lacked a brilliant striker in the big matches. Argentina’s Sergio Aguero, known as the club’s all-time great, left the team last year. After his departure, City did not have any specialist strikers. So the club bought Haaland, one of Europe’s rising stars.
