In the midst of the economic crisis in Pakistan, now a political crisis can also arise. Police has reached his residence in Lahore to arrest former PM Imran Khan. Several police vehicles have reached Zaman Park in Lahore on Tuesday. It is being said that Imran Khan can be arrested at any time. Meanwhile, a large crowd has gathered outside Imran Khan’s house. Activists of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party are protesting and they say that there could be a ruckus in the country if the former PM is arrested.
Imran reached Islamabad High Court against arrest warrant
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who was the foreign minister in the Imran Khan government, said that we are present here peacefully. The police have come here with a warrant and we will talk to them, but violence will not be tolerated. Qureshi said that Imran Khan has appealed to all the workers to protest peacefully. Meanwhile, on behalf of Imran Khan’s party, an application has been filed in the Islamabad High Court against the warrant for his arrest. Hearing is going to be held on this today itself.
A total of 80 cases are registered against Imran Khan, 30 serious cases.
On arrival of the police, Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan workers got agitated and started pelting stones. On this, the police also chased the workers by lathi charge. Apart from this, tear gas shells are also being fired so that the supporters of Imran Khan can be pushed back. At present, the police is slowly moving towards Imran Khan’s house and it is being said that the police can arrest Imran Khan today. In fact, a total of 80 cases are registered against Imran Khan, out of which 30 cases are of serious crimes.
Imran supporters were appealed to unite by tweeting
The Twitter account of Imran Khan’s party PTI appealed to the people to reach Zaman Park and hold a peaceful protest. In fact, PTI leaders are apprehensive that the police may arrest Imran Khan. Due to this apprehension, they have been demonstrating continuously for the last several days. Imran supporters say that if their leader is arrested, riots may break out in the country. Please tell that the police had come to arrest Imran Khan a few days back as well, but he was not found on the spot. On this, Pakistan’s Home Minister Rana Sanaullah taunted that Imran Khan had jumped into the neighbor’s house.
