2 thousand people of Kurmi community sitting on the track
More than 2 thousand people of Kurmi community shouted slogans against the government while sitting on the queue. Here, in view of the line jam, the South East zone on Thursday canceled 108 trains from Tatanagar to Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar and Bihar-UP route. Due to this, people are facing difficulty in going to Pune-Mumbai including Howrah, Puri, Patna, Chhapra, Katihar and Gaya. On the other hand, those returning tickets for canceled trains are thronging the station counter.
64 trains canceled on Friday as well
64 trains were canceled on Friday also. These include 57 trains on Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Mumbai and Delhi routes opening and passing through Tatanagar, Ghatshila, Chandil and Chakradharpur stations. Five trains to Mumbai, Porbandar and Rishikesh are being run on the diverted route. Trains of Ranchi Railway Division have been disrupted due to agitation of Kurmis at Khemashuli station of Kharagpur-Tatanagar railway section under Kharagpur division and Adra-Chandil railway section of Adra division.
Operation of 12 trains of Ranchi Railway Division canceled
On Friday also, the operation of 12 trains of Ranchi Railway Division has been cancelled. Apart from this, seven trains of the division are running continuously canceled. Due to which the daily traveling laborers and ordinary passengers have to face a lot of trouble.
People used alternative trains
Dozens of trains were cancelled, passengers were worried. Dozens of trains of Ranchi Railway Division remained canceled on Thursday as well. Due to which the passengers were troubled at Ranchi station and Hatia station. People came to Ranchi station to reach their destinations through alternate trains. Due to which there was a lot of crowd in the station. Due to the agitation, about six to seven thousand passengers had to suffer on the second day as well and the railways had to bear the revenue loss of five to eight lakh rupees.
