According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, two more terrorists have been killed in the Kupwara encounter. A total of 4 terrorists have been killed in the encounter so far. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot. Presently the search operation is going on.

Police said that a terrorist Shaukat Ahmed Sheikh was arrested in Lolab area of ​​Kupwara. On his behest, a search was started for the terrorist hideout. During this, the hiding terrorists started firing seeing the cordon getting tough. The security forces asked the terrorists to surrender, but the terrorists continued to open fire.

Two terrorists were killed one by one in the encounter that started with retaliation by the security forces. One terrorist killed was a Pakistani terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Police said that the arrested terrorist was also surrounded, he too reached the terrorist hideout and started firing with his associates. However, on Monday morning, two more terrorists were killed by the security forces. In which terrorist Shaukat Ahmed Sheikh is also included.

Apart from this, a search operation was conducted on Sunday itself in Gujjarpora village of Damhal Hanjipora area of ​​Kulgam district on the information of the presence of terrorists. During this, two terrorists were killed. They have been identified as Zakir Padar of Kulgam and Harish Sharif of Srinagar.

Three Al-Badr terrorists arrested with pistol-grenades

On the other hand, the security forces foiled the plot of terror attack by arresting three terrorists of Al-Badr in North Kashmir. Pistols, hand grenades have been recovered from them. On behalf of handlers sitting in Pakistan, they were entrusted with the responsibility of terrorist attacks in the area. Police is interrogating these terrorists.

Police said that near the Wangam crossing on the national highway, police, CRPF and army were investigating by putting up a naka. During this, three suspects were apprehended and searched, a pistol, magazine, eight bullets and two hand grenades were recovered from them.

They have been identified as Najim Ahmed Bhat, Sirajdin Khan and Adil Gul residents of Kralgund Khaypora. During interrogation, all three told that they were working for the terrorist Tanzeem al-Badr. He has been given the task of terror attack in the area by the handlers sitting in Pakistan. They were going in this connection.
