Jammu and Kashmir: Two killed including Pakistani terrorist Haider in Kulgam, terrorist was in the hit list of security forces


Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district in the early hours of Sunday. A Pakistani terrorist is also involved in this. Both the terrorists belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The encounter started in Cheyan Devsar area of ​​the district after security forces cordoned off the presence of militants and launched a search operation in the area, a police official said.


Pakistani terrorist who was active for two years was killed

During this, the terrorists opened heavy firing on the security forces. In retaliation, both the terrorists were killed. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said that one of the slain terrorists has been identified as Haider, a Pakistani terrorist. He was active in North Kashmir for more than two years and was involved in several terror crimes.

Earlier on Saturday morning, terrorists attacked and killed a policeman. The policeman, who was seriously injured in the attack, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital late in the evening during treatment. He was posted as a driver in the police control room helpline 112.

After the incident, a search operation was launched in the surrounding areas, but the terrorists were not found. Police said that the incident happened at 8.50 am. Constable Ghulam Hassan, who was going on a bike, was shot dead by terrorists near Aiwa bridge in Safakadal area.

He fell from the bike as soon as he was shot. Thereafter the terrorists fled from the spot. The blood-soaked policeman was immediately rushed to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), where he succumbed to his injuries late in the evening during treatment.
