Natarajan received a grand welcome upon reaching her village Chinnapampatti in Salim district. What a story Natarajan went on tour to Australia as a net bowler and was included in the T20 squad after Varun Chakraborty was dropped. However, before T20, Natarajan was suddenly included in the ODI team and got a chance to debut in international cricket. Natarajan impressed everyone with his performance in the T20 series and took the most wickets in the three-match series.
After the ODIs and T20s, Luck once again supported Natarajan and was given a place in the Test team of Team India battling with the injuries of the players. After the exit of Bumrah in the fourth and deciding Test match of the series, T Natarajan got a chance to make his Test debut and became the first Indian player to make his debut in all three formats on the same tour.
