The rain that has been raining in UP for two days has made a special impact. Due to the rain, the streets have been flooded, while mud was also seen in many places. Schools remained closed in many districts of UP due to heavy rains. At the same time, in view of the torrential rains in Gonda, DM Dr. Ujjwal Kumar has issued an order to keep all the schools till 12th closed. Schools will be closed on Friday and Saturday. Due to Sunday being a weekly holiday, schools will now open on Monday.

On Thursday evening, the DM said that in view of the weather conditions, it has been decided to close the schools from 9 to 12. Due to heavy rains in the district, all the council and intermediate schools have been flooded. The buildings in some schools are dilapidated. In view of the rain-related accidents, the district administration has decided to close the schools as a precautionary measure. On the other hand the students should not face any problem in coming to school.

The rain in most districts of eastern UP has affected the farmers the most. Standing paddy and sugarcane crops have been overturned due to water logging in the fields. Farmers have suffered huge losses due to crop failure. At the same time, many places in the cities have also been flooded. Water is visible from the road to the streets. Where there is no drainage of water, the streets are starting to look like ponds. In many places, rain water has also entered the houses.

In Sultanpur, hundreds of council schools have become dilapidated due to lack of supervision of the Basic Education Department and due to not spending the amount of composites properly. Schools were flooded due to heavy rains in the district on Wednesday. In many places, the plaster of the roofs of the schools broke and fell. Water has entered the school premises and classrooms. District Magistrate Ravish Gupta on Thursday suspended the teaching work in the schools of classes one to eight operated by all types of boards due to rain. The DM has given strict instructions to the students not to go to school.
