In London, loved ones made the Pakistani minister Maryam Aurangzeb in trouble, raised slogans of ‘chorni-chorni’; VIDEO

Pakistan’s Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb was surrounded by Pakistanis living there in a coffee shop in London. A viral video criticizes the minister for traveling abroad amid the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan. They also raised slogans of ‘chorni, chorni’ on the streets chasing the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The video of this entire incident is going viral on social media. However, during this time Maryam showed restraint and did not react. He kept himself busy with his mobile phone.

According to Dawn, Maryam Aurangzeb was harassed in a shop by the supporters of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. In the video, a woman was telling Aurangzeb that “there are big claims being made on television but here she does not wear a dupatta.”

Responding to the video shared by Pakistani journalist Syed Talat Hussain, Maryam Aurangzeb said that she is deeply saddened to see that Imran Khan’s politics of hatred and division has affected our brothers and sisters. According to the Dawn report, the minister also said that she stayed and answered every question of the furious crowd.

The Finance Minister and Defense Minister of Pakistan have defended Maryam. He has also been praised for handling the situation. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Twitter that the timing of some sections has not changed even after going to the UK. The Pakistanis living there are representing the lowest strata of our society. At the same time, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal termed the incident as “the most condemnable and shameful act by PTI goons”.
