IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update 21 May, UP Delhi Rains: It is scorching hot these days in the states of North India. Meanwhile, respite from the scorching heat is on the way. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many places for the next five days. At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain in the states of North West India from 23 to 25 May.
The Meteorological Department has said that heatwave conditions will prevail in West Rajasthan, South Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal on May 21-22 and Jharkhand on May 22. On the other hand, talking about the Northeast states, Assam and Meghalaya are going to receive light to moderate rains for the next three days. Apart from this, there will be heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya for five days from 21 to 25 May. There is an alert of heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 21, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 24 and 25 May.
Talking about East India, light to moderate rains will occur over all Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim for the next five days. There is a possibility of strong winds with a speed of 50-60 kmph and lightning in Gangetic West Bengal on 23 and 24 May. A new round of rain, thunderstorm is about to come in the Western Himalayan region of North West India. Apart from this, rain would also occur over the plains of Northwest India from May 23 to 25. There is an alert for heavy rain and lightning in Uttarakhand on 24 and 25 May. On the other hand, it is going to rain heavily on May 23 in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh.
Regarding Central India, the Meteorological Department has told that there will be light to moderate rains in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh for the next three days. Apart from this, rains will occur in Madhya Pradesh between May 23 and 25. Thunderstorm warnings have been issued in Chhattisgarh on May 21 and 22. The Meteorological Department has told that there will be light to moderate rain in South India for the next five days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal would receive rain on May 21 and 22, while interior Karnataka would receive rains on May 22 and 23 and Kerala and Mahe for the next five days.
Weather condition of Delhi and UP
The national capital Delhi is also going to get relief from the scorching heat. The weather pattern will change from 23rd May. It will rain lightly on this day. Then there is an alert of heavy rains in Delhi from May 24 to May 27. At the same time, it will rain in UP too in the coming days. A rain alert has been issued in Lucknow, Agra, Aligarh, Barabanki, Meerut etc. between May 24 and 27.
