Light to moderate rain occurred over Ladakh, Haryana, Delhi, Gangetic West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan. Along with this, hailstorm and thunderstorm also occurred in many places. At the same time, rains also occurred in East Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Gujarat, Goa, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Odisha, Jharkhand. Heavy rain was observed over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Severe thunderstorms occurred over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Tripura, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Heavy rain alert in these states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in the western Himalayan region today. Apart from this, an alert has been issued for rain and hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana on April 3. Talking about Eastern India, an alert has been issued for rain, lightning, thunderstorm etc. on March 31 and April 1. Hail will occur in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha today. At the same time, there will be heavy rains in West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha today.
Rain in Northeast states as well, thunderstorm alert
Regarding Northeast India, the Meteorological Department has said that between March 31 and April 4, moderate rain, thunderstorm, lightning, strong winds are expected. Assam, Meghalaya are going to receive heavy rains from March 31 to April 2, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 1 and 2. In central India too, an alert has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms on Friday. Hail is going to occur in East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh today.
