Interesting comments have been made by the BJP regarding CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in Karnataka. BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit state president K Annamalai has predicted a fight between Siddaramaiah and DK. He has even said that if there is no fight between the two by 2024, then he should be given the Nobel Peace Prize. Significantly, the Congress government has been formed in Karnataka. After the rivalry between DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, the last bet has gone to Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah also took oath as Chief Minister on Saturday. After this, after the first cabinet meeting, five guarantee schemes have also been ordered to be implemented in the state.

The government will collapse on cards

K Annamalai on Saturday took a jibe at the newly formed Congress government in Karnataka. He said that within a year the government of Karnataka would collapse on a pack of cards. Annamalai further said that by 2024 there is going to be a fight between DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. If this does not happen then both should be given the Nobel Peace Prize. Earlier Annamalai had congratulated Siddaramaiah on becoming the Chief Minister of Karnataka. He also demanded to know the source of funds to implement the five poll promises made by the party. Annamalai This demand has been made in view of the withdrawal of currency in the denomination of Rs 2,000 by September this year.

Annamalai objected to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin attending the swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. He said that because the Congress had given an assurance to build the Mekedatu dam on the Kaveri river, which was against the interests of Tamil Nadu. Annamalai said he could understand Stalin’s uneasiness over his remark to withdraw the high denomination notes as they would not be in circulation to be spent during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
