How will Team India’s batting order be without Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the T20 series against New Zealand? Akash Chopra did the explanation

India has to start the three-match T20 International series against New Zealand from today. Since the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Team India is playing without Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in this format. This time Prithvi Shaw has also got a place in the Indian T20 squad led by Hardik Pandya. Former Team India cricketer Akash Chopra has told how the batting order of the Indian team playing without Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be in this T20 series.

Akash Chopra said on Geo Cinema’s Akashvani show, ‘If you look at Shubman Gill’s stats in ODIs, there is no question that he will open the innings in T20 series as well, even though Shubman Gill has played in T20 format. I have not done anything special, but then Ishaan Kishan has also not shown a good game in T20 format. I think Gill and Ishaan will open the innings.

Akash Chopra further said, ‘I don’t think Prithvi Shaw will play. Rahul Tripathi can land at number three, we saw his batting in Rajkot, then Suryakumar Yadav at number four, he may not have scored runs in ODIs, but I think his magic is going to continue in T20s. Deepak Hooda can be seen in the batting order after Surya. Flexibility can be seen between Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda in the batting order.
