Navratri, the festival of power and worship of Mother Amba, is celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in Gujarat. On the nine days of Navratri, people can be seen playing garba in different places, wearing colorful kediyun-dhotia and chaniya-choli, the traditional costumes of Garba dance. However, for the past few days, incidents of assault and misbehavior for the entry of non-Hindus at Garba sites were coming to the fore, now this surprising incident has come to light from Nadiad in Kheda district of Gujarat. On getting information about this incident, there was a stir in the area.

According to media reports, it is alleged that children were made to dance by playing the mournful tune of Muharram during Garba in a program organized in the school on 30 September at the Play Center School located in Hathaj village of Nadiad. As soon as the matter caught fire, four teachers have been suspended in the name of action.

The villagers allege that the teachers of the school played mourning music of the Tajiya of Muharram in the Garba program, on which the children were forced to dance. When the video of this incident started going viral on social media, there was a stir.
