The Lodhi Colony police station got information about this heinous murder at around 1 pm. The police have arrested both the people accused of murder. During the interrogation of the police, the accused have confessed to the murder. The accused told that they believed that God wanted him to slit the child’s throat, so they slit the child’s throat.

The deceased child has been identified as Dharmendra. Dharmendra was the middle of three siblings. She has an elder and a 2 year old sister. The deceased was 6 years old. Ashok, the father of the deceased child, told that the accused had killed the child and hid it under the bed. After that, to protect himself from investigation, he changed clothes and hid old clothes stained with blood.

The accused had consumed ganja before committing the murder. Accused Vijay told that after consuming Lord Shiva’s Prasad i.e. Ganja, he had gone to the place where some women were singing bhajans, they asked for incense sticks to worship Lord Shiva, but no one gave them incense sticks. After this he came back to his slum and was confused that Lord Shiva was asking for the sacrifice of a child. After this, when the child Dharmendra was going to his slum, he took the child inside his slum and the accused persons killed the child by slitting his throat and also injuring him on the head.

The police have also recovered the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the crime along with the kitchen knife used in the crime. The police arrested the accused and sent them to jail. Along with this, the police also suspect that the accused were trapped in a tantrum. The police is trying to trace his past history.
