Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. In this, he appealed to give proper place to the opposition in the country. He also referred to the misbehavior of activists protesting the Enforcement Directorate’s questioning of former party president Rahul Gandhi.
Choudhary said Congress leaders and workers were protesting peacefully but it is a matter of serious concern that law enforcement agencies forcibly entered the Congress office and used force on the workers. The Congress leader said that our workers, MPs, MLAs were all insulted and many were also beaten up and misbehaved.
He alleged that our MP from Tamil Nadu S. Police also misbehaved with Jyotimani. Even their clothes were torn and they were kept in the police station till late in the evening. During this neither water was given nor was it allowed to bring water from outside. Medicines were not even provided to him in police custody. Is such behavior with a woman MP justified?
