In response to the question of BJP MLA Kalicharan Saraf, Education Minister BD Kalla said in the assembly – Rajasthan government has announced to start Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana in the budget of 2022. In this, about one crore 33 lakh women heads of Chiranjeevi families are to be given free smart phones with internet access for three years. Kalla said that a provision of 1200 crores and then 3400 crores was first made in the budget for the free smartphone scheme. Even now a budget provision of 2600 crores has been made. Its work is in process.
