For the first time, without Mulayam and Azam, SP’s conference, Akhilesh Yadav said – one thing was revealed even after defeat

Perhaps for the first time without SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and Muslim face Azam Khan, the Samajwadi Party’s state convention was held in Lucknow on Wednesday. During this, the SP unanimously elected Naresh Uttam Patel as the state president of the party, who has been in this post since 2017. Naresh Uttar Patel, close to Akhilesh Yadav, comes from the Kurmi community and by giving him this responsibility, Akhilesh Yadav has been trying to connect the non-Yadav backwards also. During this, Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned the defeat of the party in the 2019 general elections and the assembly elections held in the same year.

Akhilesh said – We had also sacrificed for alliance with BSP

He said that we fought the elections with full force, but the BJP won by using the machinery incorrectly. He said that these results also showed that the SP alone has the power to challenge the BJP. No other party has so much power. In the 9th state convention held at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan, Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned about the 2019 general elections. He said that the socialists had put in full force. While trying to fulfill the dreams of Ram Manohar Lohia and Bhimrao Ambedkar, unity was also done with the Bahujanists. We even gave up for it. But the people in power misused everything and we had to face defeat.

Mulayam and Azam Khan undergoing treatment in Delhi

This was probably the first time, when both Mulayam Singh Yadav and Azam Khan stayed away from such an important event of SP. Both the leaders are currently in Delhi and are getting their treatment. Akhilesh Yadav said that even in 2022, the Samajwadi Party had formed an alliance with the people who were fighting to oust the BJP. But we could not win. But even after this, I can say that the way our workers have worked in 2019 and 2022, it is clear that SP alone has the power to give competition to BJP.

Disappointed with the alliance with BSP, there was a setback in 2022 too

Let us tell you that in the 2019 general election, SP and BSP contested together. Then the alliance got 15 seats, but 10 went to BSP’s account and SP won only 5. It was from here that bitterness arose between the two parties and in the end the alliance of both was broken. After this SP had an alliance with many smaller parties like RLD, SubhaSP, Mahan Dal in 2022. Even after this, the BJP was successful in getting a majority on its own.
