Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday. A police officer said that the security forces started the operation on Tuesday after receiving information about the terrorists in the Mishipora area of Kulgam. The terrorists had escaped from Mishipora after initial firing with security forces.
The security forces continued the search operation. After this, firing again took place on Thursday, in which two terrorists were killed. IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar told that both the terrorists involved in the killing of teacher Rajni Bala in Kulgam encounter have been killed.
He said that the investigation is going on in the area. Meanwhile, an encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in Hangalgund area of Anantnag district. Meanwhile, the security forces have killed two terrorists. The police officer said that the operation is still on.
Earlier on Wednesday, terrorists carried out a grenade attack targeting the security forces in Anantnag. A police personnel was seriously injured in this. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A patrol party of security forces was stationed near Badshahi Bagh in Bijbihara area of the district.
During this, the terrorists attacked him with a grenade. There was a stir in the area after the grenade exploded. A policeman was injured in the blast. After the information of the attack, the entire area was cordoned off by the security forces. The search is on for the terrorists.
