Amidst the crisis on the government of Maharashtra and Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray has made an emotional appeal while addressing the public on Facebook Live. Giving a signal to the Eknath Shinde faction, he said that if anyone does not want to see me as CM, then come forward and say, but do not betray Shiv Sena. Not only this, accepting the crisis, he said that there is a saying that the ax with which a tree is cut, only has wood in it. The same situation has arisen today. He said that if my own people do not want to see me as CM, then what can I do, this is the biggest question.
Appealing to the rebel leaders for dialogue, he said, ‘If you do not want to see me CM, you could have said in front of me, what was the need to go to Surat for this. If any of the MLAs who have gone to Guwahati come and say that I do not want to see the CM, I will resign immediately. Whatever you have to say, come and say it in front of me. On one hand they say that they will not betray Shiv Sena and it is wrong to rebel. He said that if you come in front of me, I will resign immediately. As long as Shiv Sena workers are with me, I will not be afraid of any challenge. If Shiv Sainiks feel that I am not fit to be the chief of Shiv Sena, then I am ready to leave that too.
I will be happy if any Shiv Sainik becomes CM.
I will be happy if any Shiv Sainik becomes CM after leaving my post. Apart from me, if any other CM is needed, I am ready for that also. Come and talk to me. If you have any hesitation, talk on the phone, but don’t be a traitor. Uddhav Thackeray said that in a democracy, victory is won on the strength of numbers, but how it has been mobilized, it is also an important thing.
Uddhav’s reply to Eknath Shinde – The new Shiv Sena was the only minister
Responding to Eknath Shinde’s allegations that Shiv Sena had compromised with Hindutva, Uddhav Thackeray said that the ministerial posts he got after 2014 were from the new Shiv Sena. They met only after the elections after Balasaheb Thackeray. He said that people understand the sentiments of Shiv Sena and our Shiv Sainiks work day and night for them. I continued to work even from the hospital. I didn’t have any experience, but took up the task and acted with full courage. I had entered the fray to fulfill the promise I had made to the Shiv Sena chief. We were fighting with Congress and NCP for years, but went with them.
Uddhav Thackeray also replied on the agreement with Hindutva
Uddhav Thackeray said that we had visited Ram temple in the past, during that time Eknath Shinde was also with us. After the death of Balasaheb Thackeray, we fought the 2014 elections on our own and achieved success only on the issue of Hindutva. Shiv Sena and Hindutva are two sides of the same coin. When we talked about taking a decision, Sharad Pawar spoke to me and said that if you become the CM, then we can give support. He said that we have senior leaders too, but if the government is to be formed, then you will have to do leadership. I had said that I have never had any experience of Municipal Corporation. There is no selfish motive behind taking my post. Politics can take any turn at any time.
