In fact, Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined for slow over rate against Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday. For the first time in the 16th season of IPL, a team was found guilty of slow over rate.
As this was RCB’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences, skipper Faf Duplessis has been fined Rs 12 lakh. If RCB is found guilty of slow over rate for the second time, then the captain will be fined Rs 24 lakh and the players in the playing XI of the team will be fined Rs 6 lakh or 25-25 per cent of the match fee.

Apart from this, Lucknow Super Giants player Avesh Khan has also breached the code of conduct of IPL in this match. Avesh Khan has admitted Level 1 offense 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He was let off with just a reprimand. A Level 1 breach is subject to the hearing and final decision of the match referee. He had hit his helmet on the ground after the victory.
